Sounds like you are very ambitious; more power to you. I personally would make sure that it does one thing well before adding a second aspect. After both of them are doing well, I'd add a third, etc. At some point in there, when you have a few options available to your construct, I'd test the multi-tasking. This would (ideally) involve a person who doesn't know which programming bits you've added to your construct. That way, you have feedback without "front-loading".
As to the success or consequences of the critter... I've no idea. Constructs are very much dependent on the creator being skilled in that particular area. The longevity of the construct would have a significant effect on the overall consequences, and both are dependent on the programming.
